Nearly 4,000 full-text electronic journals are available online to WVU faculty and students through a newly developed service on the Libraries web site at www.libraries.wvu.edu/journals. Researchers can use the site to search for individual journals by title and to connect to the journals in one step. The service greatly expands access to electronic journals, making them available at any time from any location.

Electronic journals available from the site cover all disciplines and include scholarly publications such as Journal of Applied Physics, British Journal of Sociology, Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, and Nineteenth-Century Literature. News and general interest publications such as Newsweek, Forbes, and Variety are also included.

The Libraries acquire e-journals from several commercial information providers including JSTOR, EBSCO and WilsonWeb. The journals may be searched at the article level through these individual services. The new electronic journals site integrates titles from all the providers into a single journal list for the first time. The Libraries expect the number of titles available to increase as new journals are licensed for access.
