The Downtown Campus, Evansdale and Health Sciences libraries and libraries at WVU Tech and Potomac State College are now open for students, staff and faculty. The Law Library is open to Law faculty and staff, and will open for Law students on Aug. 15.

The West Virginia and Regional History Center is open to the University community by appointment only. To schedule a visit email wvrhcref@mail.wvu.edu or call 304-293-3536.

Users will be required to swipe their ID card for access to the Downtown Campus, Evansdale and Law libraries. Also, they need to follow the health and safety protocols of mask-wearing and physical distancing.

Remember to visit wvu.libcal.com/hours to check hours before heading to a library. Members of the WVU community who want to use the Law Library from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday can call 304-293-5300 to arrange access.

In addition, with the reopening of the Libraries, the HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access to online copies of books from our print collections comes to an end.  Records have been removed from our WCD catalog.

Temporary access provided access to books that are typically restricted to search only due to copyright. When the libraries are open, we are no longer eligible for emergency access.

Researchers who were using HathiTrust ETAS access may now use Book Express + for delivery of print items between campus libraries.
